Words For Balance And Harmony

Last week, I looked dorsum at my client intake forms for the past six months, and I tallied upwards the words my clients utilise when they describe the changes they want in their lives.

The two words they used most were "clarity" and "balance."

While I love the word clarity, I struggle with the word residuum. It conjures an image in my mind of a superhuman holding two equal weights, perfectly balanced in their arms. True balance is elusive. Nosotros are perfectly imperfect homo creatures, and nosotros volition always be imperfectly balanced.

I prefer the image of a dancer gracefully moving along the spectrum of response or between ii ends of a polarity.

Instead of residuum, I encourage yous to play with the word "harmony."

Try this out: Say the discussion "remainder" out loud, and notice how you feel in your torso. Then, say the word "harmony" out loud, and again, pay attention to how you feel. Y'all may not notice whatsoever difference. Simply, if you're similar me, you lot'll feel a subtle shift. A more fluid energy, like music that can be sometimes fast and sometimes slow.

Rather than finding the one perfectly balanced point, y'all tin find harmony at any indicate along the spectrum. It depends on what life is calling forth in you at any moment. Information technology'southward similar surfing the waves, rather than looking for still water.

I recently asked my Facebook community what words they use to describe the awareness of remainder, and in addition to harmony, their answers included centered, resilient, awake, responsive, and integrated.
